CREATIVE WRITER AND STORYTELLER
AURREY DRAKE
HELLO THERE
Aurrey (OR-ee) is a Canadian speculative fiction writer based in Scotland. A sucker for whimsy and a good ponder over the meaning of life, she loves to craft cozy narratives laced with magic featuring ordinary people navigating the messy business of finding purpose.
Her rural fiction won the 2026 Edinburgh Short Story Award. She is actively querying her debut magical realism novel and writing a rural comedy. When she's not writing for herself, she helps fellow creatives and corporate partners tell clear, captivating stories. That, or she's scoping out the best snacks and walks in Scotland.
